Each presenter is required to register an account with Conftool, our online submission system. https://www.conftool.net/apcs2025/
Individual paper submissions should give a title and 300 word abstract. Symposia should include both a title and overview of up to 300 words and individual presentations titles and abstracts up to 300 words each. Although individual titles and abstracts are not required for roundtables or conversation hours, a working title is recommended to invite potential attendees to join. Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and will be published on Conftool.
Review criteria will include relevance to the APCS mission and program theme, and appropriate theoretical grounding. Web-based submission process will open February 25 and end at midnight on April 15, 2025. Submissions are due by April 15, 2025.
Students who would like to participate in student roundtables should contact Marilyn Charles before the submission deadline to be included on one of our student roundtables.

APCS is pleased to announce a low-fee rate for students and also a reduced fee for those earning under $50,000 (US) in 2024. We are also pleased to announce that we will be offering up to 6 Scholarships that offer free registration to individuals for whom the low fee is a hardship. Applications can be obtained from emailing Stephanie Swales.
We are in need of volunteers to help to manage the hybrid function on the panels. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our Volunteer Committee (Rubén Benavides Crespo, Marilyn Charles, María Mirόn and Claudia Quintero) to be included in the volunteer group.
Students receive free registration and early career individuals receive a reduced fee for their efforts.

APCS encourages all participants to reflect on the social importance of their contribution and to articulate that value in their presentation. It is our view that the psychoanalytic investigation of culture and society constitutes a unique and indispensable means of understanding AND intervening in our most serious social problems, and we encourage proposals that work to further this project.
We welcome submissions from a broad range of disciplines and psychoanalytic schools of thought. The conference will be of interest to psychoanalytically informed scholars in the social and political sciences, media, cultural and literary studies, and to clinicians and practitioners concerned to explore themes related to the psychic, the social and social justice.
